Edward..1913-2013

I got the call at 4 a.m. that Dad had passed away.  He was in his 100th year and just 3 months away from his birthday.   As per his wishes there won’t be a funeral and burial will take place when the out of state family members are available.

This is my favorite photo of my dad.  It was taken around 1950.  That was about the time that he got into photography seriously, developing and printing his own photos.

  1. what a lovely photo of your dad. Sad that he died – but he had a long life didn't he and as you said he had been slipping away and not in pain – I would take that way over being in pain any day. You must have a lot of good memories.

  2. I am very sad to hear about your Dad, Wanda. I just got home from spending a week with mine in Alabama…it seems like every visit is so precious now. My Dad is 82. Yours had such a nice long life…isn't it amazing to think of all the things he saw in his life? Everything from early flight to little cars on Mars! My thoughts are with you.In stitches,Teresa :o)
